Just helped my Mom & Step-dad move house,
Well there was a number of us helping move stuff and a couple of loud cars.
No soon as i was unloading out the car the neighbors came round moaning, they was moaning about noise, and the number of cars.
They didnt seem very happy answered there question about how many cars would be kept there.
Now there will be 2 bikes and 3 cars there permanently there.
And 3 more on a weekend
So question is, is there anything they can do about this... Legaly?
Moms and the neighbors house are both bought

Aslong as you aren't affecting their property or disturbing them, then I'd imagine not.

I wouldn't think so? It's nothing to do with them is it? Even if all the cars are parked on the street, as long as they are taxed and fully legal etc then they can fcuk themselves?

Unless they're parked infront of there property, or constantly being revved outside.. Then no.

As above really. As long as you're not causing a nuisance, your on your own land and not blocking entry to their property, they can't do anything.

Thats ok then, there will be one bike and one car in the garage. The one bike and 2 cars out the front on the drive. Then obv visitors will park on the street. I think just th fact we had loud cars constantly back and forth all morning annoyed them

If you are causing a nuisance then yes there is something that can be done. Section 59 springs to mind.
If the cars are being parked legally though and you are not causing a nuisance or are parked on private land then there is bugger all they can do, other than get their own back on you.
My advice would be to try and accommodate your neighbours. Some can be many times more annoying that they think you are ;)

So long as all vehicles are legal and taxed they can't do anything. There's a traffic copper lives over the road from me he has between 6 and 11 cars, 3 on his drive and more on the street. He seems to buy cars damaged in accidents and repair them and sell them on. A few of the neighbours have had a go at him about the amount of cars there but he rightly tells them as long as they are taxed, tested and insured he can park them where he likes provifing they aren't an obstruction, and he does! He had 3 sat in front of next doors house for 2 weeks before he sold them on. I often have a bit of cheeky banter with him, after he asked me when I was going to re-new my tax (it was a month over due) I told him when he fills those potholes (pointing at all the potholes up our road.) I told him if I he parks any infront of my house I'll drag them 50 meters down the street and drop them off. I'm sure he knows I was taking the piss however he hasn't parked a car there since!!!

I think they are just your average middle age couple no kids and just a skoda fabia hatch for there shopping car. Its a small cul-de-sac so think with loud cars back and forth caused a bit of an annoyance. Hopefully they aint complete cocks. And they get one. Dont bother me as im not living there lol.

If your car is a month over due (not sorn) you would recieve a fine electronically.

If you take it into your own hands to move a car that doesn't belong to you that is parked legally (can be right outside your house if it's a public highway) then you could be charged with theft of a vehicle ;)

TWOC would be a bigger penalty for them to convict you of though

they can, if your cars are "disturbing the peace" then yes, they love that.
but police cant be arsed with any of that usually, unless your out on a peaceful protest then you get threatened with that all the time! bastards!
personally i wouldnt worry about it, i am guessing she is known to the police for being a moaning bitch.
every street has one, and if you dont think yours does, then you are it! lol

For some areas parking is always an issue, I get it a lot working with council planning departments. How many cars can you park off street and what sort of road is it ?
Essentially theres nothing they can do, they can moan to the council or anyone else but unless your purposly blocking their drive or the public highway then theres nothing to complain about.

If the moaning continues, buy the biggest white, pikey looking transit you can, make sure it's taxed and legal, then park it in front of their house and leave it..... ideally a high top that blocks the sun entering their front windows. Just make sure it isn't on the kerb and doesn't block access to their driveway
Or just tell them to get a grip

It's all relevant. It the cars were being excessively revved or booted I'd have said something too, that the first impression you want to give? And general neighbour etiquette is don't park infront of your neighbours house.

Im sure there is a limit to the amount of cars you are allowed to sell from your home address per year ?
As for the neighbour situation isnt it best to just bare them in mind when going to and leaving the property, a bit of consideration perhaps, i make sure i keep the car 'quiet' when coming home or leaving, after all you have to live side by side.....

Most of my family was being as quiet as possible, just cause say 4/5 cars sitting outside idling and pulling off together. Was loud at the time.
They will have to get used to a certain level of noise anyway due to the fact of the cars my step dad own not being very quiet, nor the usual visitors.
You can drive them quietly but they will still here them in anycase.
