Not bad for car, you likely have a hole or a leaky joint in your exhaust though.

The popping will be due to unburnt fuel... Thats not causing serious harm.
Rolling for long periods of times on the clutch or in neutral can put strain on the box. Which can then cause serious issues.

unburnt fuel will eventually melt your cat. i had a melted CAT on a golf. it will eventually break up, turn round in the exhaust and can blow the car up.....

Im going to take a stab in the dark saying this isnt a stock system, for it tobe popping.
So id guess there is no cat.
I know how a cat works, i work with them daily.

This is incorrect.
I have this stuff, you can put down, dont get it on your hands though as it feels like jelly but will burn your skin. Cats will like it, but will melt them inside out.
Ill try and get pics of it in action! :)
Or any oetstore will sell this blue crystal stuff, which cats dont like so i wont go near it.

I will try the human way of burning it inside out first if it fails I don't have an air rifle but I have a shotgun so am sure it would have the same effect??

Thats what i thought he meant but i couldnt see why he would be asking if there was anything wrong with that.

basicly it is engine braking i was just wondering weather it is bad or not to do it down a hill, i always got told to accelerate down a hill so im not sure weather this will damage my car

Previous cars you have been told about seem to have less power than a nuns broken vibrator.
Back in the 70's when they held there trousers up with wire it was needed to ensure they made it up the other side without changing down to many gears.

ive always done this. its basically everything working backwards, so as your car is rolling down the hill the wheels are moving the driveshafts, gearbox, crank etc. makes mine pop
as said theres nothing wrong with it, i always drop the clutch down a hill or put it in neautral, saves petrol lol

i did it in a multistory car park that popped big time in there ;)
