blown out the lambda sensor?? can you elaborate on what you mean?

With the exhaust blowing, you need to tell us just how badly it's blowing a tiny hairline is hardly going to make much difference whereas a gaping hole is.

Regardless I'm not sure that's going to be enough to lose enough power that you notice it substantially in 3rd. Usual questions:

Serviced? tyre pressures?

You should sort the exhaust blow that wont help and what do you mean youve blown out your lambda?

my exhaust has rusted on the downpipe off the mani where the lambda sensor is. and it blew out as in not fell out but blew it out into a hole and it is now not working and just welded to cover the hole.

so you have no lambda in the car whatsoever?

You need to sleeve the second one, so it thinks the cat is still working (same as what people do when they fit decats).

How bad's the exhaust blowing? That's gonna affect shit...

2nd doesn't affect the performance of the car, but it will flag up the ECU. It's not a pain but it means that if any other errors flag up, you won't know because you'll think it's the sensor.

Just screw the lambda sensor into that, cable tie it somewhere outta the way, and hey presto, it thinks it's still in the exhaust, and the cat's still working, so you don't get the management light flash up on the dash.
