Had a search and couldn't find much....

Is it possible to straighten/ fix a slightly buckled alloy? The alloy in question is a TSW Catalunya, as you can see from the pics it's bent.

Do any of you know anywhere that may offer such a service, and estimate a cost?

we use a company at work that fixes them for 50 per wheel. Then you have the price of removing + refitting the tyre and chances are the alloy will crack so your left with a useless wheel most times its cheaper to just find one nackerd wheel from ebay and get it blasted and powder coated.

Theres a place near me in exeter that sorts them out, apparantly they heat it up and put it on a jig, supposedly it doesnt make it any weaker either, mate had one of his amg alloys off a mercedes vito done by them, its perfect, think it cost him £40 plus obviously taking the tyre off/putting back on etc, i'm gonna take mine there soon because i have a bend exactly like yours in one of mine.

Would you not say it's worth it then Bedford?

I think this is a magnesium alloy, not sure if that makes the process different (I assume it's harder?)

If only Exeter wasn't a mission away. Whats the name of that place ?

I`ll stick my neck out here but sometimes you can improve the buckle(like in your pic)with a pair of molegrips.

its on the back, get a block of wood and a hammer, or leave it

mine was bent on the back exactly like yours and the tyre kept going down, took to my local tyre depot and he took a lump hammer and block of wood to it. tyre stays up fine now and you could never tell it had been bumped, worked a treat. id say bite the bullet and get brutal mate, a hammer can fix anything (almost) lol

*if i had a hammer....*

Ok thanks for all the replies guys (appreciated), I'll give that a go.....

Seems like the most hassle free - Yeah the tyre completely deflated after it was pinched.

*await update 'I fucked my alloy with a lump hammer'*
