jsut got my results through from my exam

have now passed

level 3 in managing national road transport
level 3 in managing international road transport

what a hard course nearly two weeks in all, but chuffed to bits i passed, few drinks tonight i think

So what can you do with those qualifications? Is it like control fleets of trucks or something?

i am fleet service controller which you dont this for, work put me through it so better my skill set and to go through promotion

but in a nutshell, a haulage company requries an Operators licsense to be able to run, and this course allows you to do that, there are two sepearate, national and international, most people only do the national, this now means i can go on the O license for the company i work for as i show the competance to do so

it also mean if i so wish i can start my own haulage company up, and can apply to the traffic comissoner for my own operators license..........scary stuff

This qualification is offered on behalf of the Department for Transport. You will find it suitable if you wish to enter the profession of Road Haulage Transport Management or demonstrate your professional competence to meet the Operator Licensing requirements. The qualification includes a range of subjects related to the business of Road Haulage Transport Management. The areas specified in EU Directive 98/76/EC are assessed.

Your qualification will be assessed through a combination of multiple choice, and case study based unit examinations. The full qualification is awarded when you have passed the appropriate combination of units. In order to achieve a Certificate in Road Haulage, you must pass two multiple-choice papers and a case study paper.
