Hi,
That ECU doesn't support EOBD so you won't find a standard cheap code reader, as before 2001 each manufacturer had different protocols, on top of my head I would say your best chance is the Snap on Ethos, or an old second hand Solus, but then you need to make sure they can do your model, which they normally do as they are design to support many manufacturers, so you looking to spent over 500£ just for your car? Anyway hope this helps.

As i just posted in another thread:
I just bought a lexia from china. Works great, and should work on all citroens with any diagnostics. All cables and programs are included. I payed 138 usd including postage to Denmark... And then some import fees.
Bought i from this shop:
http://www.autokmfactory.com/
Their site isnt that good, i just wrote Huang at this email: autofactory@126.com, and made an agreement about price, postage and payment.
I had the package a week later.

As Aksel said the lexis interface is an option and it seems cheap enough.
Thanks.

Yeah is cheap, and the best thing is that you can also read ABS and Airbag codes and alot more. They say you should be able to do everything citroen does except flash new ecu's....
Look at this thread: Saxo 1999 OBED II?
