hi im thinking of taken my car to get a fault reader/diagnostic but will it pick anythink up if like the engine mangament light is not on the dash/dials trying find out wots up with my car but dont want to wast my money on this if its not going pick anythink up!

If its an engine related fault and you've exhausted your expertise then its a fairly good idea.
but if its because your seats squeak or something then it's pointless

its my automatic gearbox it will work for a little while then stop the engine will still run but no drive, if i turn off the engine and start it again it will do the same again drive but then lose drive and so on , but i have not got any lights saying anythink is wrong. would be great full for any help :thumbup:

Does any one know? if it will show up any faults with out any lights on my dash/dials?

id take it into a gearbox specialist or just a local garage
i dont think it will show up on a diagnostic machine
