Hi, today i fitted some front door speakers (dont know if that will have anything to do with it)
Popped the door cards back on and went for a drive, got back home and my car wouldnt lock? i have a Hawk remote locking system, that tried to lock but the door pins didnt go down and it unlocked again. I tried to do it manually and the ky wouldnt turn, took the door cards off and nothings blocking the pins from moving, any ideas??

I would check over again what you have done on the door, maybe you left some cables off

the pin is getting caught by the sounds of it.
check that the door cards are in properly and that nothing has moved as to knock the pin from it's moving mechanism.

I've tried it with the cards off too ad the pin wont go down, but it's not stuck on anything because it moves freely

Pull the rod with the door pin on where it connects to the motor towards you if your sat in the car and push the rod that connects to the door handle away from you. worked for me anyway just got to mess with them abit

Tried that mate, the door pin came out and it worked until i put the door card back on, now it unlocks itself again, but i cant see anything that the door card would push against to stop it?
Also now the passenger door wont lock with the rest of the central locking, i have to push the pin down and shut it to lock it.

Sometimes, but when i can it's very very stiff to turn, the passenger door also won't lock with the rest of the car now, only unlock

sounds like my problem, but it was literally the top of the pin getting caught on the hole in the door, and we have already worked out it's not that, so im stumped.

@Mindak, you problem is broken wire in the door hindges, probably drivers door.

Yeah i took the pin out and it still does it, but the drivers door will lock without the door card on..but i've checked and the door card doesnt actually catch on anything?

You may just have a faulty locking mechanism?

I hope so, i'm gonna pop down to a local auto-electronics place on tuesday (after the stupid bank holiday weekend) and see if they can take a look because i'm stumped other than a faulty locking mechanism

Ecurepair if there was a broken wire would it stay down if i was to push the driver pin down as thats the only way it will lock meaning i cant lock it from the outside!

Mindak, not sure to be honest, but it is a very common problem on broken wiring on the hinges, and what happens is that the central locking module needs to received the lock signal from all the doors at the same time so if one fails it unlocks all of them so the user knows that one door is still open.
Have a look at the wiring, although it is a bit difficult sometime to check them because of the plastic protective sleeve, you would need to remove it or move it aside to check the wiring properly.
Regards.
