right after making a post on hear people were saying yes it will fit and the brakers yard thats selling it recokons it will fit if i use all the c2 loom ect but cit-tuning dont reckon it will fit and even if it did it would need a hell of alot of work doing. so will it go in or not. the engines £500 and they think they have a place that will fit it for £400 but dont want it to be cowboyed and feck up on me. cheers if you can help

will it go straight in or are now mounting points needed. and will it match up with the saxo gear box?

yes it goes in, but you cant use the c2 wiring loom or ecu, you also cant use the c2 engine mounts, or inlet manifold, you can use the exhaust but its got a cat built in, also if you retain the c2 oil cooler/oil filter you need to get a custom c2 downpipe made, otherwise its block off some of the holes and use a saxo one with a saxo alternator. infact theres a few more things, ideally you need a saxo vts engine as well to make it work

i know rattys situation is different but is it really worth putting the c2 engine in seems like a lot more work than just a regular vts with only an extra 5bhp

bigger valves on the head mate and the whole engine is better than the saxo vts ones
looks like its going to be alot of work to fit dan,and the guy who says he can do it for 400 quid sounds like hes talking out of his arse.if your wanting a 16v motor fitted and you dont want all the extra work i'd just get a saxo vts one fitted bud upto you at the end of the day though
