If its head gasket there will either be oil on the floor or oil in the top of your rad. Check the rad cap and the oil cap (where you would put the oil into the engine i mean) for a white goo. then that means its blown. Could just need bleeding? theres a thread somwhere explaining how and the three bleed points.
Not seen your other thread so sorry if you know all this :)

Could be a cracked head?
Do a compression test and see what it says.

Would you engine bleed fine?
Did you get all the air out, and then it came back?
I'm not sure it'll be the gasket, you could do a compression test, but it might not show anything up if the head is cracked on a water/oil way.
Are you sure a pipe isn't split and sucking air in?
You can always sniff the rad to see if it's got gasses in it. :D
Does the heater blow warm air inside? If so its not a airblock! Have you changed the thermostat and waterpump? As i said in the other thread!!!

sounds like i have the exact same problem. been going on for about 6 months every once a month or so my car just starts overheating so i bleed it out and fill it back up again and itll be fine for a month, checked the obvious, nothing, done the indicator test for head gasket which is were the blue fluid turns yellow if its gone, but it doesnt. and recently its really struggled to start everytime. a mate said thats what happened to his and it was his headgasket gone. time to get my conversion in earlier than expected :)
