Interior alarm/ immobiliser light ?

Hey

Eventually I plan to have my car alarmed but I was wondering (for the time being) what are those little red flashing lights you wire up that blink even when the cars off and make it look like its alarmed.

It may sound stupid to some but where I live it would be sufficient to make some dosey scumbag think twice about breaking into my car untill i can install a real alarm.

Theres some one ebay but that say they flash 3 times a second ?

I wanted it for use as a dummy alarm not a rave ? Anything out there with, say, a 1 flash every two seconds ?

Well it depends on the rate of the resistors tbh, thats what controls the rate of the flashing :)
