M.O.T Failed

My m.o.t failed today on rear brakes(less than 1.5mm thick) and "centre exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gases).Anyone know the cost of a centre section on a 51 reg VTR.?Brakes i can do myself.Cheers

Cheers mate,the guy at the M.O.T place was trying to charge me 110.00 for rear brakes and "welding" centre section.in other words bodging it

welding the section is orite if its just the joint but £110:| my mot in two week should be intresting, see what they uncover but ther person who owns garage is a family friend lol

i had the same centre section problem, he said it had a crack in it :S

i got a new one for about £35 ish from them and it was all sweet :)

£110 and there taking the piss mate take the car elsewhere...

i wouldnt get the crack welded it will just blow out again in a few weeks! got my centre section replaced for £30.

a had the same prob at the bracket and center box welding just fixed it for 2 week

not if its welded properly mate ... ive done loads and all still fine
