Can anyone tell me if something is missing from my front door card as it won't stay on properly , the screw that sits just below the wing mirror interior cover will not screw in properly , its the right diameter but it 's just not holding it on right ! another thing is the wing mirror cover that pops of too , is there something needed to hold that in place too ? , the previous owner seems to have not bothered putting it back together right when he installed tweeters etc .
cheers all

Hello mate the clips are all ok , it's just that damned torx one if the top corner , im thinking maybe there might of been a clip in place that sits between the screw and the hole ! so it gave it something else to hold it tight ! as for the door mirror thingys thats a mystery !
cheers

I had this problem when I made my how-to guide, I'm pretty much certain you haven't put the card back on properly

I'm on my phone at the moment, but ill try and help/explain better when I get home this afternoon :y:

i would double check the door card is on the rail fully when refitting it can pop off one one end slightly which could be why the mirror cap wont click back fully. just a guess unless previous owner has used a larger screw in the past and the hole is now too large. should be able to see the torx screw hole on this and the rail from mine see if yours looks any different might help.

Wrong, the door cards are pretty well built to be fair

As said above, make sure its on the rail, not between it and the door, thats the problem I had, it looks in place, but it lifts over the rail and sits flush

The screw should go in then

I'll try that Dano cheers :y: what really annoys me is when someone takes something out of a car and don't put it back again ! surely it was there for a reason in the first place , their the kind of folk that take the wheel bolts off and drive down the road ! lol

to be fair you could probly leave the screw out, aslong as all the clips are intact, and its on the rail right :y:

Sorry verm i nicked your picture

From what I can work out the black plasic bits are what the wing mirror panel should clip into then the small hole is where the torx screw goes into try taking out the screw and screw it in without the door panel, as said the screw maybe to small try and find a bigger threaded screw. What maybe happening is the pressure the door card is under may be popping the screw out.
