Idle problems and saxos seem to go hand in hand!

If you have looked at the ICV, go for the map sensor next as suggested.

Personally, I would remove the throttle body and everything attached to it.
Clean them all thoroughly with WD40 and reassemble.
That's what I did and mine now idles fine :)

Changed the map sensor and the icv, has changed much at all, so next im thinking coolant temp sensor? But its not giving off a shite reading on the dial? But i shall change it anyway see if that sorts it!

Hi mate. 2 sensors for water temp, one for the guage and one for the ECU. IIRC blue one for the guage. Check it by removing the wiring plug. If the guage goes right up or right down it is the one for the guage. remove th ewiring plug for the green sensor and if the engine goes mental then it is working okay - no change in engine speed lumpiness means it is not doing it's job and needs to be changed.

btw have you checked compression and spark plugs? Also if you have washe dthe engine water might colect in the spark plug wells under the coil pack. Check all pipes for splits to.
