Right basically im looking to get a real nice mirror/wet look finish to my furio but struggling to massively! Icelandic seems a tough colour to see massive benefits from some real good elbow grease. Just wondering if anybody has any tips/products they think will help me get a nice finish, waxes, glazes, sealents you all know the drill! Also looking to get a clay bar and lube just wondering if anyone has any recomendations?

A good clay session will make things a lot easier for you mate.
The clay bar process should be carried out before polishing to ensure the paint is free of contamination/ fallout etc..
Think of it this way if you don't clay and just go straight into polishing then you are just polishing over the top of all the contaminants and the polish will have very little effect on the paint, but more to the point you will have wasted polish and worked hard for very little in return.
A good clay is Bilt Hamber, its easy to work with and only requires water as lubrication.
Any sealant/ wax is down to your own personal choice.

Maybe have a look at the Zaino Products, I used that or Dodo Supernatural on silver, which is also a difficult colour to get a good wet finish from, but they both worked for me.

Yes depending how contaminated the clay gets.

The key is always to fold in on itself so your constantly moving the contaminents to the middle of the clay bar.
also make sure you have a lot of lube (for the clay) otherwise you will inflect marring and that might be harder for you to remove.
But if your car has never been clayed before, you mill notice a difference from that in itself.

Not icelandic i know, but similar.
products i use are:
Sonus ultra fine clay
Sonus SFX-2 polish (paint wasn't that bad so didnt need anything more aggressive)
Finish Kare all in one glaze / sealant
Chemical guys hardcore XXX paste wax
just to confirm, i'm no detailing god. bought the above products on a real average sized budget and IMO got decent results by hand with not much experience.

So for a full detail what are the best steps to do as most people will obviously wash dry and maybe wax but I want more than that

rinse / snowfoam car
wash wheels
wash car (2 bucket method)
clay
wash
polish (this can involve several different stages depending how bad the paint is and if youre detailing by hand or machine)
glaze
seal
wax
i personally tend to gel tyres, clean windows, gel bumpstrips / seal wheels etc inbetween coats of sealant / wax while i wait for it to cure.
this is a basic method from my limited knowledge of detailing. some people apply different layers of wax sealant etc to get the look theyre going for. polishing can take the longest, but it's where you reap the most rewards.

Try stuff like Iron X or De ironizer these will get rid of iron filings stuck to your paint work and other things you wont really be able to spot , this will also make the claying stage a lot easier, Tardis will also be another good thing to use to get rid of all the tar stuck to your paint, little things like this add up to make a big difference in your paintwork.
Its all in the prep!
