Is it possible to do this yourself and what is involved.
I know they might not come out as good as a professional job but im sure i've seen a thread where someone done it themselves and it turned out really good.
I wanted to do my wheels white.. Do you have to buy a specific alloy primer/ paint or something ? Cheers !
Follow this guide mate, it tell's you step by step how to do it: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87427&highlight=alloy+wheel+refurbing+guide
As for what paints to use, I just use halford's grey primer, followed by the colour, then clear laquer

may save you a fair bit of money, but wont be the same quality finish as if you got them powdercoated, it pays to get it done properly :y:

if you put the time into the prep there is no reason you cant get a perfect finish mine look as good as any shop refurbed alloys, it did take me 2 weekends 1 day per corner though :/

if you have the money then powdercoated is the way to go if not then do them yourself and make sure you spend loads of time in the prep as that where the finish comes out best
