i know wrong place bla bla bla.
the engine is back in the car now im just plumbing everything in etc
and ive got a pipe left.
anyone with a mk1 vtr or who knows please tell me where it goes
it starts underneith the inlet manifold drops down the back of the engine and comes out by the gearbox its not water pipe if you blow down the loose end air comes out of the top of the rocker cover.
where does it clip on to??

Where is it connected to now? The inlet or the engine?
Sounds like a crankcase vent of some sort, so my guess would be it'd plumb back into the inlet

its connected to the inlet but dopnt know where the other end goes.
Does it go near the idle control valve?
Have you got a pipe on your brake Servo?
Have you got a pipe going to the offside wing?

Has it a guess will be either the brake servo thing or the fuel recycler or whatever its called in the drivers wing.
So try these 2!

its about an inch in size
brake servo is on and inner wing is on the pipe has got a few bends in it and ends up ontop of the gear box
Is it easily flexible. As the other two are fitted correctly I think it must be the one that helps feed the idle control valve.
On some VTRs, the idle control valve has a separate pipe that goes on the airbox or before the throttle body to aid it getting air to idle.
If the car starts up fine after you have your new pickup ring, start it up and feel if its sucking air through this pipe, if it is then its the idle control valve pipe.
Where abouts is your idle control valve btw?

car wont start the key light has gone off.
turns over but fuel pump wont prime.
there is power getting to the fuel pump and when you link the wires together it primes.
im stuck now

Link which wires together?
Possibly an earth problem. When the car isnt mobilised it will still allow fuel pump to prime and pump fuel. Only difference is no spark and injectors wont inject fuel.

it doesent prime at all.
turn the ignition the engine spins over but seems jumpy.
there is no fuel getting up to the engine but the pump does work (tested it)
its for the idle valve, connects to the air box
