how hard is it to remove your headlight lenses and paint the backings black instead of silver?? has any1 done this? and how do you go about removing the lenses ive been told to put them in the oven on a low heat to make the glue soft then pull the lense off???

Did mine today an a rite pig, did it with a heat gun, a little and big screw driver but well worth the effort, look top banana!! Jst hpe with all the tiger seal in the world the bastards dnt leak now!!

I did mine other day with heat gun all painted just need to glue it back :)

no m8, do it with a heat gun, it much safer than doing it in the oven, to hot and it could crack the headlight lense :panic:

In all honestly, if you put them in the oven for the amount of time it says to in the guide, you wont crack the lense, they are pretty thick glass. Deffo a fan of using an oven, cant seem to get the glue to the right temperature all the way around using a heat gun, just my opinion though, up to you.

i use heatguns to remove the plastic/glass on headlights out for spraying or for sorting leaks/cleaning
