You need to use a propper wax... i use carnuba wax applied with a damp wax sponge. Even then it's hard to get it perfect, need a few applications for it to be perfect.

Its just really hard to apply and to get off (as you have found out), plus it doesn't leave a good finish at all.
I am using do do juice purple haze, extremely easy to apply and to buff.
It all depends what colour your car is to what wax you get.

Take a read through the detailing section on here to pick up a few tips and the best products to use.
But as you have a black car get a pot of purple haze.

Purple haze is a really good wax for black saxos, i use it on mine and it comes up a treat!!! Only worth it if the paint has been prepped and polished properly first though (if it needed it due to neglect) or you wont get the full benefits of a decent wax. :y:

i used to use colinite 476 on my black saxo and it used to shine really good its all down to the way you prepare your car for waxing i m o
If you're going Dodo Juice then yes, Purple Haze is a good choice - if it was me i'd go for Blue Velvet as i prefer harder waxes.
As above though, Collonite would also do.
