Engine management code

Hi everyone

My girlfriends Citroën Saxo 1.1i desire 02 plate engine management light appeared so I took it to have diagnostics run on it.

The code that came back was

DO172 or D0172 engine adjustment rich.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

The guy took my 60 quid and didn't really explain anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

He probabably doesnt know him self,mine came on one day,so i just bought myself a code reader off fleabay £20. turned the light off and it never came on again.
Turn out it was because i use to let my sax warm up on the drive when we got all the snow and choked it up with fuel. hope this helps
