Hard to get into, hes on second year at LSE looking for a placement and finding it impossible to get hired. (Although im not sure what degree class he is expecting (could be a 2:2 in which case i don't blaim them for not wanting to hire him hah)).
There is A LOT of competition!

i got confused there, i thought you meant london stock exchange :fcuk:, forgot about london school of economics lol
its always nearly impossible finding placements. i only know a couple who have actually had them.
yeah anything below a 2:1 in your final year and id imagine it would be hard finding a job tbh

I dunno dude I don't think it's that hard to get a placement in most industries. I got one at glaxosmithkline after my first interview lol (but then I was probably one of the first people to apply as I sent my application really early!), although I know a couple of people who have struggled. Lol how could you forget lse, probably one of the top unis for the sector you have asked about :-P.

lol i hear the LSE acronym so much, always reffered to for the stock exchange
Would have more luck getting into a nun, its stressful, similar to having a sword dangling above your head 24/7

Aye, work for a Hedge Fund Asset Management firm, very specialist.
Am a Liquidity Analyst, been working in the city for nearly 13yrs now doing the same type of roles.
If you/anyone needs any advice or wants to ask quesitons then go ahead. Currently based in Mayfair, have also worked in the City at Liverpool St + St Pauls.
