looks immaculate, but the mileage is actually higher than my old car on an S plate and that only thing :( thinking of taking the short journey down and having a nosey

anyone? its actually dropped in price £300 so going down tomorrow night with a mate and my dad.

recon i could knock a bit more off it due to the miles or is that already a good price?

Tidy! :D

Mileage means fuck all mate.

Try and knock some more of the price, but if not, it's still a good price tbh. Just make sure you check all the usuals :y:

thanks yeah, my mum seems to think it's a bit high, but like i have told her, aslong as it's been kept well then it should be clean as, which from the pictures i think it has.

1 keeper from new, and it's totally standard, for now.....:fcuk:

As Mike said, mileage means nothing. Its had 1 owner from new and looks very clean, probs been serviced regular and very well looked after.
SO its probs better than a 40k car thats been redlined everywhere all its life lol

You'd be a fool to not go and check that car out mate :)

Looks like it needs a new rear beam and some matching size rear tyres!

for what it is, 1 former keeper had full service ect, well worth the 995!

just noticed the wheels!

also how can you tell from the pictures it needs a beam?

would i need it on a jack to check for any play?

plus one!

first pic, doesnt make the beam look any good atall but that could just be the angle!

and i agree with the interior change, and carpet and belts too ?

tbh all the ppl who say mileage is fuck all are totally wrong, if its the right car/owner mileage is fuck all, bt in most cases mileage is what makes a car expensive to own/maintain

for eg we have 6 transits at work, all 08 plates, mine has 120k, although i look after my van, if i were to see it for sale id well steer clear of it, theyre all ready for the scrapyard tbh

just gotta go view it and make a decision based on what you see and what you can tell from the owner :y:

I agree, it's not as simple as saying "milage doesn't matter/is just a number" or conversely- "avoid 100k+ or xxxk+ mileage cars.

Clearly it does matter, its generally a good judge of life remaining/likelihood of things breaking/need replacing.

That's a good price!

And mileage is right for age of car tbh so you won't have anything to play with there

could the interior not have been from new like?

i dont like the belts but they seem to match the carpet, which i thought could also have been from the factory lol.

the fact the interior is just so immaculate though is what is making me think it's a well kept car, as the inside doesn't look like a 90k car :S

The inside can be cleaned quite easily... they aren't going to try and sell a car without tidying up the inside. It's the bits you can't see that you should be wary of and something just doesn't look right about the way it's sat, it seems a bit too level.

thanks for the input :)

anyway i can check the rear beam for play without it being in the air, or will it be ok on the ground.

anything else i should look for, in my mind i have as a list

rear beam
boot floor - rust
under ecu/panels - rust
leaky sunroof

and that's all i can think of :S
