quite good quotes there actually, if that's for lowering the rear and fitting the front springs. the torsion bars can be a bugger to pull out if they are seized so require a bit more work, but it's definitely something which can be overcome. there are two ways to lower the rear, but only one correct way ie to remove both bars and measure the height of each side, not by 'notches' or 'splines'. :)

Nice quote!... I did mine by notches, but I'm a cowboy so I can lol.... the problem is they become siezed very easily and its alot of hassle to unsieze them (hassle = time = £££££££'s for the spanners pocket), if they say they "CAN'T" do it.... they're lying!...., its more a case of they "WON'T!" do it because they're lazy and obviously con't need you're custom lol

Thats bollox!... any mech worth their qualifications should be able to do it easy!.... splines are the same as notches, 1 notch / spline = 20mm ish! lol.... its a very unprecise science.... as previously stated measurment is the best method as it has the least potential for damage and you can specify exactly how low you want the car rather than knocking it up a few notches then when its back on the floor the exhaust is grounded lol.... (saw a silver VTr today that was sparking off his nice shiny janspeed! lol)
