so, after getting my car lowered last friday its been great fun.. until last night.
driving home from work, i found going round left hand corners the steering was becoming really heavy.. first time it happened, didnt think much of it.. the second time i was obviously more concerned.. got home, pulled up and cracked the bonnet open.. only to find the power steering fluid leaking and dripping wet
apparantly this is a side effect of lowering your car? where the pipe has obviously been lowered, as with the front springs.. its now rubbing against something in the engine bay and has slowly worn away causing it to leak..
got a couple of pics below..
ive circled the pump which seems to be leaking:

pic from the underside of the car:

anyone else had this problem? is this common? whats the name of the pipe i need? cheers!

This is very common and almost certainly will happen if your lower your car 40mm or more.

i don't know about any alternatives though unless you re-route your original pipes.

Replace pipe and gently bend it away from the track control arm that it is rubbing on.
