Okay I am looking at getting a cheap car but with nothing too complex... Something I want to learn on! Any ideas?...
Cheers
*** EDIT *****
I've just re read that and realized how tired I must be because I wrote half the sentence!
I'm looking at learning how engines work, stripping down cars and learning everything in my garage! I want a car that's good to learn on mechanically!

mini easy to take apart and put together. But any old car where what you see is what you get under the bonnet nice escort mk2 if you get one cheap and strip it down and rebuild it well youll be looking at a tidy profit

Buy a mini shell and restore it/fix it back up with parts, when your project is completed... Either sell and make a nice profit or keep the mini and be rather proud off your work :)

If you can get a cheap saxo, go for it, simple engines, or above the old fiesta pushrod engines, fantastic simple engine to start on. Dosn't get any simpler then that! Then maybe few months you can move onto a diesel engine or v8 :p but yh, its easy to understand how they work, enrol onto a college course if anything. Or just buy my GTi and learn on that! Happy days! :D

saxo or a 106! about the most modern easy going to work on engines your going to get now
and can be picked up cheap!
iv just sold a 98 106 for £250 that would have been perfect for that kinda thing!
minis and old golfs etc come at a price now! even old fords are creaping up now there becoming retro/classics

I had a Vauxhall Nova when I was 15 for exactly this kinda thing, theyre a piece of piss to work on. Ahhh, I loved that car.
If you can find a beetle cheap enough theyre a good project too, but in all seriousness, a saxo/106 has to be one of the easiest cars to work on ever!!!

Buy my Furio, low mileage. Cambelt replace 10k miles ago and its a 1.4 so not too powerfull or too weak. Perfect I'd say!
