my vtr is so slow

i now have a evo engine in the boot of my saxo and it doesnt like it .it struggles round bends and cant get the power down

i've currently got a C2 GT engine and VTS box in the back of my Berlingo, thats slowed down noticeably, as above, take the engine out of the back and see what it performs like
