I've had a search and although the problems are similar I couldn't find anything exactly the same. Basically sometimes the indicators as well as hazards don't work, but messing with the indicator or hazard switch a few times solves it. I've found it seems to happen often when I come to get in the car and go somewhere, so when its been switched off, as well as just when driving along.

Basically does anyone know what the problem could be, switch, relay etc?

Does the indicator or hazard switch run of one another and which is the 'master' one?

Could it be affected by the airbag squib as i've recently changed that although the only thing that seems to affect is the self cancelling?

Cheers :)

The hazard switch has to be plugged in properly for the indicators to work. pull it out and have a look at the conncection pal.

Sorry for posting in wrong section I just saw interior and thought it would be the right section as I assumed the indicator switch was the problem lol.

I'm not confused, the hazard switch was plugged in correctly but the problem still occured, although when I squeezed the wiring loom(where the switch loom joins the main loom under dash) they came back on :/

Right, another update if someone can give me some opinions.

The problem keeps occuring intermittantly, often when I've just started the car, my mechanic said he thinks it could be the indicator stalk as wiggling it about like a mad man usually sorts the problem, although i've since noticed even when they are not working I think I can hear the relay clicking near the fuse box under the glove box? So now i'm a bit stumped :/

I would think that is the indicator stalk playing up.

But why would I be able to hear the relay clicking still?

And like I say if i reach my hand up the dash sometimes and squeeze the wiring loom where the hazard and rear window demist wires join the main dash loom, that sometimes sorts it.

Its becomeing a PITA to diagnose lol.

Ah then it may be the relay it self, have you tried another relay?

I haven't as yet mate, wanted to see if anyone had experienced the problem before I start buying new bits, it seems not though so might buy a new relay and stalk, if that dont solve it I guess it will be the rrelay?
