can the outer cv joints be changed on the saxo driveshaft,,,i haf one shaft that the inner joint is knackered and i have another with damaged splines on the outer,,,can i take the good outer one and fit it to the good shaft??
if so, how does it come apart???

yes they can, get in in a vice and hit the broken joint off, and do the same with your good one then knock them back on ,making sure the circlip doesn't snag while hitting the new one one. it shouldn't take much force to knock back on so if it doesn't go on easily then you havn't got it right on the splines.

Yes you can repair a driveshaft the Haynes manual recommends using a puller,but to be honest new driveshafts aren`t that expensive mate.

ok, stuck it in the vice and bashed it,,didnt want to come off,,,do i sit the joint at an angle or straighen it while hitting it??

Get a new one! There not that expensive. Drive shafts and propshafts are something you don't mess with if you dont have a clue. The speeds they rotate at will cause some serious damage if they are not correctly rebuilt.
