I have a citroen saxo 1.1 desire, 2003. The Engine light has constantly been on for several months now, nothing seems to be wrong with car. Tried disconnecting the battery, but light still on when re-connected.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Get it hooked up to a diagnostics machine,so the fault code/s can be read.

Buy a cheap fault code reader. It'll pay for itself after it's first use. From experience your looking at around £50 for a garage to connect it up to a diagnostic machine. You can buy a basic device from Gendan for £40. It's saved me a small fortune. Oh and it's amazing how many people want you to reset the MIL light when they know you've got one. But it's nice to be nice.

Some garages will scan you ecu for free.
