Hi, wanted to get other people's verdict. Shall I swap my 12" Edge sub shown here;
http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x321/HydroThunder/saxophotos010.jpg
With 2 10" Edge's???? My mate works at halfords, and already has 1 10 inch, so he said he will pay me 35.60 extra for my 12" and give me his 10" so that leaves me to buy the extra 10" at 30 quid because he is a legend and gives me his staff discount always. So what do we think? Thanks.

Hmm I know Edge isn't the best, so thanks for re-confirming it. But I work lots with not a lot of spare cash on my hands so I will stick with edge for the moment. and ManU, general discussion isn't for general discussions? :S

the ice section is for ice questions
if you don't have much spare cash, don't waste what you have on a sub, especially an awful sub
and ManU, general discussion isn't for general discussions? :S
disclaimer: I do not support manchester united. To be honest I think they're a bunch of overpaid wankers. In fact I despise football altogether, for having uneducated idiots being paid millions for kicking a ball. Therefore Manu, not ManU
^^^ This, is general discussion. As mentioned, the ice questions go in the ice section...
When I built my own, I searched harder and scored 2x JPW 12" for £25. Pretty much own anything else.

Ok granted on the ICE.
I must admit, I didn't expect this forum to be as hostile as it is. The supermod I spoke to is a top bloke though, so don't think I mean you.
Surely I can choose what to spend my money on as well, and when I say spare cash, I mean literally disposable income. Therefore my choice. Lets not get hostile over something ridiculous?
search harder and find real value for money tbh?

Ignore the cunts there just putting up their lazer defence systems because you have a bigger penis.
What everyone is saying is you should wait till you have more disposable income & get a better sub or alternatively some other ice equipment :)

dont see the point personally edge arent good subs to start with plus its just lot more weight for not much gain if you see what i mean, just keep the 12"

id keep one 12inch rather than 2x 10inch.

apparently 2x10s will be louder because of diameter. but bigger subs hit lower freqs. but tbh you wont notice any difference with edge . if i was you id sell it and scour the internet for a good set as they always come up spesh on gumtree. always get 2 subs in a box etc. just gotta keep looking and not rush. im gunna be honest i like the look of your bootthe shape of the box just the sub is shit. maybe keep box and find something like a gt4 gt5 to throw in it cheap aswell but can take punishment and are commonly used in walled cars

Just because a sub box looks nice doesn't mean it's good for sound... A box is more important than the sub, properly made boxes can make a £50 sub sound better than a £1000 sub in a bad box.
But yes, 2x subs will be louder. There's no replacement for displacement.
Bigger subs will be 'boomier' but not always be able to hit lower freqs (although bigger usually means lower)

make your own boox for a 15" and port it to the right specs, then slap a 15" vibe space, or jl, herts, mtx, or kicker lol. then dynamat the car and get yourself a rainbow ipaul 4.3 and some rainbow 6" comps up front job done :)
Mind you thats not a cheap install lol, but if you do it right its worth the money so you better start saving lol :D

trust me mate i know this, i was stating the box idea as he is trying to save money. and it looks well and makes boot look like a boot build , nice design do you not agree. and looks about 2cft which is near enough the best for a gt4/gt5 (ideally 2.2/5) but
