Just phoned my current insurers (Quinn) to get a rough quote on one of these, and they said that they don't insure this type of vehichle?

why is this? is it because I'm 20? have you got to be 21 to insure one of these?

Cheers

EK9? EP3? FN2? FD2? theres a lot of civics out there...

you sure its the type of car they won't insure? or the person driving that certain car? Honda's are usually quite expensive to insure for what they are i've found.

try another insurance company? bell have always been great for me mate!

I could under stand this if it was an EK9.... as imports seem to be a nightmare to get insured.

EP3 tho... should have no problem getting insurance at 20.... altho you will be paying more than the car too insure it

will obv cost more to insure than a saxo. but would have expected it easy-ish to find somewhere to quote you!

mahahahahaha

Quinn wont touch you on one till your atleast 21. they wouldnt touch me on the GTi till i was 21 so went to admiral.

My type r costs me under 700 to insure, fully comp. and thats a 55 plate premier edition one.

thats 3 points, 4 years NCB, C postcode etc.

and im only 21....

*I'll add i was only quoted £814 on a JDM import one as well.

Quinn are reluctant to quote anyone under 21 on 'performance' cars. They wouldn't quote me at all on a VTS when I was 19.

Admiral quoted me 2800 or so on a uk Ep3 @ 21, 18month exp, 1ncb, 1 fault claim.

bell elephant and admiral seem to be the ones to check out for an ep3 civic

i have one and its insured with elephant as they were the cheapest, youll have to pay all up front tho otherwise expect a massive % for monthly payments,

i was 22 5ncb paying £1100ish
