Hi guys
I have an 800w alpine sub with amp which beats out heavy bass but i need front door speakers and maybe 6x9's to acompany the sub. Havent got a massive budget but im after loud good qaulity sound with a heavy bassline. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions/recomendations??
Cheers

Vibe space 6" comps in front would be good, there not that too exspesive. but if you want unbeleiveably clarity and crisp sound rainbow are very good. if your after more bass though get some vibe blackdeath qb69's, they are very powerefull 6x9's
Amp anything you get though otherwise you wont get the true potential out of your system
Hope that helps slightly

Thanks for those articles... do comps still allow you to go real loud and hold qaulity?
i have 6x9's atm and though go loud and qaulity is pretty good will comps be on the same par as 6x9's?

comps and 6x9's are not intended for bass.
buy a decent set of comps for the front and maybe amp them up too

theres a LOT LOT better stuff out there than vibe.
for under £100 (the OP's budget) i'd go for either get a good set of comps:

or a set of comps and an amp:

i only suggested vibe because iv used them before and not had a problem with them.
iv never tried hertz stuff before, would you recommend them over vibe?

Yes, hence why I did :)

ok lol :)
bit of a thread hijack,
ashley could you give me a spec which is good to use, will split into 2 catorgories.
a cheaper option with around £500 to spend on comps, 12" sub(s) and amp(s).
another option with around £1200 to spend.
so then i have the best of both worlds :)
i play some bassy music too, if this matters. cheers :)

for over £1k, i'd sign up to talkaudio.
i haven't bought an audio product in a couple of years and im pretty out of the loop when it comes to products in that price range.
so many options, for so many types of SQ / SPL set ups...

compared to other comps the hertz ones seem to have a low watage does that effect the power i can put through them? i just started up the car as its been of the road for a few months and the bass defens the 6x9's that are already in there so need something that will hold up qaulity against the bass

go for what you want mate.
pointless asking to be reccomended a good product and then not take the advice
just FYI. lower watts etc dont matter. speakers don't produce watts, the amp / headunit powering them does.

Before getting the equipment I'd get the installation stuff first, will make a fair bit of difference and you could probably get it for around the top end of your budget.
1) 0/awg power cable (at the minimum 2/awg power cable)
2) 2.5mm speaker cable (at the minimum 1.5mm speaker cable)
3) 6.0mm sub-woofer cable (at the minimum 4.0mm)
4) Triple shielded RCA's (twisted)
5) Big three
6) Dynamat/Silent Coat
If that's a bit OTT then what about this package http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=380029 very good value for money
