Is there a way for them to cross sides? To get home they must have to drive.all the way to the next junction then turn around?

if you man the ones on motorway
theres a services called forton sevices (lancaster) which has back roads goin to it so i imagine most of the service stations will have aswell

I thought they carried there cars over the barrier?
But in all fairness i have allways wondered this.
What if they live in the direction the motorway is facing.
IE they finish work, travel down to next turn off and their house is there. That would be alright..
Apart from in the mornings they would have to travel past their works on other side of the motorway, carry on for miles to next turn off, then come back down the motorway the way they came.
That would take the piss if you were running late.. 'Soo close... yet soo far away!'

also some of them offer lifts from were you live to work and home again so they have a mini bus on each side of the station
sorry to ruin it again but people just dont know how they do it

There are normally foot bridges.
But I like the undergroud passage idea..
Quoting and replying to my own posts is abit sad, feel like i'm having a little conversation with myself which is abit scary lol...

I suppose they could park up on the hard shoulder, whack hazzards on. Run across the motorway, clock in, work for a few hours, on the break run back across the motorway and move their car.
I'm thinking about this way too much!

Apperate....
In order for a witch or wizard to be allowed to apparate they must first pass a test. One cannot take the test until they are 17 years old. Apparation is very difficult and very dangerous: it is possible for a person to leave parts of their body behind (becoming splinched) so that they become stuck and cannot move on either end.
Unless they're Muggles... then I guess iluminusbutterfly's got the best explanation so far
