After 3 years of Twingo ownership I finally decided I needed something bigger and more refined with lots of toys but would still feed my driving addiction.

No, I've never tried to sell my Twingo before.

The front definitely grows on you and is an acquired taste shall we say :P

When i drove the clio at old place i had to run one down to the body shop just over the road and they drove me nuts, but they are lovely cars, my fav is ones in white with the black alloys yum yum :)

As you drive a hideous car, all feedback you give is invalid - simple as that. Who actually thinks a xantia diesel is a decent car? How old are you? If I was forced to drive a xantia or similar I'd be jealous of pretty much anything, especially a clio 200 hence me suggesting the jealousy.

Actually mega jealous.

I test drove a new Clio 200 a couple of weeks ago.
On the verge of getting one..In storm grey too :D, if I manage to get my new Job in the summer.

One criticism I have though, is the adaptive steering jobbie. Takes some getting used to imo, Took it down the dual carriage way when I test drive it and thought it was going tits up. Haha. It also took me a while to realise there was a 6th gear there..

Cheers dude! When you say gay spoiler do you mean the big cup spoiler with fins? I much prefer the small "GT" spoiler mine has on it, looks more subtle. Mine has the cup chassis fitted as well so it's setup in the same way as a cup :)

I love the recaro's too, but always hear horror stories of the bolsters falling to bits after just a few thousand miles! + the seats in yours are comfy as hell.

I test drove one with Recaros, absolute nightmare to get in and out of and my back was aching after only 25 minutes driving.

Those were the main things that put me off but the stories of the bolsters failing was another biggy. They don't do recaros in leather in the Clio either so I decided to go full leather in the "normal" seats which as you say, are a million times more comfortable :D

The options I specced on mine are:

Storm Grey paint
Painted black id roof
Tinted glass
Black speedline wheels
Cup chassis
GT Spoiler
Full Leather interior
Renaultsport Monitor (best toy ever!)
Bluetooth + USB upgraded hands free/streaming stereo (which is fucking amazing!)

I think that's it :)

P.S. Clios with the cup chassis have red Brembo callipers, that's how you can tell with a quick glance :)

The only difference is that you cannot change the throttle pedal mapping on the Clio. All other functions work the same and work very well indeed.

Me and my bro were actually shocked at how real time it is. If you tickle the throttle pedal it instantly shows on the RS monitor. Best function so far is the digital oil temp gauge though, will certainly make the engine last longer!
