Considering my car didn't make it I actualy really enjoyed it today!

Was awesome raping my brothers 106xsi round the track. Felt like a track day in the morning for the open pit track session then looked round the stands in the afternoon which kept me busy. Normally I'm bored by midday tbh!

Glad it wasnt just me who got sunburnt lol. Dont know how thoug seen as it was raining half the day. Was freezing all day as well.

Trade area was disapointing this year, and as said the drifting gets a bit boring after a while. Awesome to meet more people and have a laugh with some old faces as well though

Ive been to all but one in around 2005/2006 and I thought the show itself was the worst so far.

Stands were putting in all there effort to make it as good as it could be, but let down by the planning IMO.

I have decided that I won't be going back which has hurt me alot but I can't put up with it going any further down for me I will remember it for what it was :)

This is my 6th year in going and it is going downhill. Much prefered it when it was at brunters. This will be my last time going unless i do track time next year. The thing that fucked me off aswell was there was adverts in the papers for tickets for £10 each for upto 4 adults.

also forgot to mention saxp had a great stand and i saw simo for the first time haha that was an exsperience for me lol

Show is getting smaller, alot more trade stands - dodo juice stand was epic good to get some advice from the guys themselves rather than everyone following on here.

The show itself was the usual, needs to have more i was bored and had looked around the show by 12. The weather didn't help, if it was warmer i would of watched track alot longer.

Quality of saxos imo was poor, most of them had bad paintwork and didn't even look like they had been polished, there were obviously a few that were up to scratch. Most had exhausts that were hanging so low it made me want to get under and sort them out. When reading progress threads on here the cars look mint seeing them in the flesh makes you think twice, i should of entered mine into show and shine never thought i would of had a chance until now.

stand was right on the far side for us and was all overgrown, 3 of us moved into the middle

food was overpriced and shit

marshalls where rubbish, got there at half 7 had a kid that was like 5 directing us in and didnt have a clue where we was, "not the kids fault i know"

weather was crap, windy as fook, then hot then cold then windy again then hot then cold,

top 25 was good, some nice cars on there, and pug1off stand had some tidy motors

free dodgems was a bonus, however my dodgem broke down in the middle and i proceeded to get battered

drifting was worth a gandres, v8 engine in the nissan sounded the tits on full beans best noise of the day

track action was ok, red 106 gti going round think was supercharged or something was pretty rapid

most annoying thing for me is the fact its called french car show and yet, in the areana where the clubs where, was the following i spotted

about 6 bmw
various german passats, golfs, fabias
there was an old school mini
a mazda rx7
lancia delta
mistubushi evo 4

now why are they there for are they french????? no, i know for a fact if your was to rockup to japfest e38 and it wasnt the right car from the right country you would get told to fook of and park in the main car park.

for me 08/09 was ok 10 was best year for me as car was fianlly how i wanted. 11 worst one so far

Also agree with rootyboy entirely. I only go to the shows for banter and to meet up with everyone but wasn't that impressed this year. Just seemed a bit badly organised by the rockingham people. Also need to move away from rockingham if they are going to keep the FCS thing alive. Its shit from a car show perspective.

Also when you have a hangover and 2 hours sleep, the woman with the whiney voice begins to grate on you.

French car show should only allow french cars on the stands. Completely agree.

My second time going, I'm sure there was more there last year, or is that just me? I enjoyed it overall though, was worth going IMO.

Stocked up on car cleaning stuff, was gutted about missing out on the 106 GTi interior that was going cheap, they only had the rear bench left when I got there. Would have loved a go on the dodgems but never got a chance, and didn't fancy queuing up. Shame about the weather as well, didn't get as many pictures because of it

Would have liked to have spoken to more people but there were never that many there or they were all in groups.

Bad planning in the fact that the club parking was on gravel, all the cars got covered in dust. Had mine detailed for FCS although I doubt anyone noticed as it was covered in dust. As for the standard of cars well all they are all 54 reg at the latest and can't all be perfect, plus seeing that not many were perfect made me feel better about my car :)
