i dont know if this is in the right section but is there a satnav out there that has an rca output to connect it to an external monitor because im planning on putting a 7" monitor in the dash and was wondering if i could wire a sat nav into it, as all that i have found is sat navs with the mini usb to charge it and connect to pc but not to a sepertate monitor, any help or guidance would be much apreciated..

have a look at standard range rover sat nav's they have the rca outputs and are made to be remote from the screen.

Never seen any like that before, this is mainly because most are designed with built in touch screens which need to be touched so need to be in reach of the driver or passenger.
You could use a CarPC, load it up with Windows XP, connect a USB GPS chip and run some software on there which could be output to a display.
