Hello, I'm looking for a decent washing set, that will come with sponges (Not needed but would prefer), Drying Mits, Washing Mits, Shampoo, Wax and other items that will make my car shine.

I've just washed and T-CUt it, With turtle wash stuff and t-cut. I read that T-Cut isn't really as good as it says. If anyone could help out with what they started out with. Thanks!

clay - meguiars quik clay kit
polish - ag srp if by hand
glaze - poorboys blackhole

The megs clay kit is pretty expensive for what you get. Bilt hamber clay is a better option, can get it from eBay and best bit is it only needs water a lube. :y:

turtle wax and tcut are terrible, you mayaswell not even wash it lol

tcut is very abrasive
if you want everything in a set, autoglym sell a kit i think, which has a sponge shampoo polish etc.

things that are a "must"

sheepskin / lambswool wash mitt
Decent car shampoo (chemical guys body was and wax for me)
drying towel - CYC huge microfibre drying towel

that stuff will clean the car, but if you wish to go further, than youll need other stuff including:

claybar (clay lube isn't needed)
polish
sealant
wax
applicator pads / buffing towels.

it all comes down to how much you have to spend / how much time youre willing to spend on it.

to minimanspk:

for extra's like glass cleaner etc. get some screen wash, dilute it and put it in a spray bottle. don't waste your money on fancy names.

why AG SRP by hand? i have tried it, and tried menzerna polishes by hand, i can safely say the latter is better from experience.

blackhole is over-rated. glossoworkz glaze or even red moose is far better.

I have tried the abrasive polishes by hand and just felt that it was to much work compared to what you get with ag srp, The AG fast glass is there spray on window cleaner and is no better than a bottle of windowlene but there glass polish is a very good window cleaner which will remove tough dirt. I used PB black hole yesterday for the first time and thought that it was unbeleivable never had a shine before like it and there was hardly any work needed. Im not going to say your wrong about glossworks and red moose been better because ive never used them but I will say that all the hype about black hole is true because it is a shit hot product
