Hiya, I have a VTR at the moment but I want to change the engine to a 16v just tried ringing up Elephant and they wont quote me on an engine conversion.
I rang up Sky and they wanted £4800 on a standard VTR?
At the moment I'm paying 948 with Elephant on my standard VTR.
Help please?
I'm 20, 0ncb, 2 years and 9 months experience and car would be social use only.

Sounds believable, they'd of wanted 1400.

You got another sax! Should have kept the TB beast and dropped it in.
My quote on a vtr is only £120 more than a furio but no-where will insure me on a furio with an R engine. Get an S yo!

Your NCB is likely the main cause of them refusing you insure a conversion.
You are basically saying'
'I am a high risk driver with zero no claims, can I stick a bigger and more powerful engine in my car?'
Elephant were good for mods with me but Im 23 with 3 years NCB
Engine conversion will likely be more than just buying a VTS anyway
