Bought a new car - fag smell!

There is a fag smell around the car as the previous guy smoked in it :wall:
Whats the best product to get it back to smelling good.
Looked at autoglym ouder eater but never used it before. Any suggestions?!

+1 I use Febreeze, when I smoke in my car or mates do.. Seems to kill the smell! Well I think it does, and when people get in who don't smoke they don't say anything about smell..

But my car just stinks of Hammerite now, as painted boot floor! :wall:

I would never buy a car that's been smoked in regularly and if for some reason i did i would get it steam cleaned.

Got told by a ex-dp for a BMW dealer they used to get a bucket of boiling water, put a load of bleach in it an then put it in the car over nite, all shut up and locked up! Next day take it out and leave it all open to flush the bleach smell out and it used to get rid any dog and fag smell, might b worth a go!?

when someone was a bit sick in my car, took ages getting the stench out. i tried everything, even tried putting coal in there over night (which worked a bit)

used a disinfectant called zoflora in the end btw

wen i ust to have full interior i smoke but i hated getin into my car all the time and having a pong of smoke so as the door opens lol, febreeze works a treat, or go all out get 2 buckets and rip everybit of interior out tha shud do tha trick ;)

I had a Punto that was smoked in. I had to clean the seats with upholstery cleaner 3 or 4 times before the smell went. Have to scrub everything before the nice smelling stuff works lol.

Febreze as everyone has said, also you can buy some really strong smelling tree air freshner things. Put 5 of them around the car and the smoke smell will disapear!
