When I had ago at some before I used the last type which worked brilliantly no scratches or bubbles or anything makes the job look a lot better without scratches imo

any of those should be fine, there isnt a "better" choice, just use what you can and take your time :y:

you know about spraying the area with soapy water before you apply the vinyl?

get an old sprayer bottle, like mr muscle or something, make sure its all cleaned out, bit of soap, bit of water, shake well, lightly spray down the area your are wrapping, apply the vinyl

the soapy water will allow you to move the vinyl around to get it in the right place, then use the squeegee and heat-gun / hairdryer to remove bubbles/soapy water

Jobs a good'un

plenty of guides on youtube if you need help :y:

Yeah I've gone for the first type now.

As for the soapy water, i've heard the carbon di-noc stuff is meant to be applied dry? I've ordered some carbon wrap which isn't official di-noc but I thought it would be similar?

i had ago at wrapping some mirror caps in carbon, and it was a bitch on round edges, soapy water worked a treat, so i would highly recommend it :y:

Hi Al3x, I'm not sure if you still need any but we provide felt edge squeegees.

I'm not sure if your allowed to post links here so if you google 'protectandenhance', you should find us then simply go to application tools and your see the normal squeegee and the felt-edged squeegee :)

Some felt-edged squeegee will not last and the felt will simply be eaten through but the constant friction.

We also provide headlight and foglight film in colours such as 'light smoked', 'dark smoked', 'yellow' and 'blue' so why not take a look :)

Many thanks

I bought one from eBay but thanks anyway, will look into the headlight films though :y:

As for links, I think you need to be an affiliate to trade on here, so it may be worth getting in touch with one of the mods if you want to set something up, the headlight films may be of use to members, if they are cheaper and of as good quality as alternatives such as lamin-x?

Hi ALEX and thanks for the reply :)

Thanks for the info, yeah, i'll get in touch with a MOD :)

They are very similar to Lamin-X but a little thinner.
So their not going to offer as much protection but are cheaper :)

The Dark smoked and light smoked let a normal beam out, the yellow outputs a yellow beam and the blue (my person favourite) lets out a WHITE light :).
The blue looks just like HID's in my opinion and i love it!

These films you simply need soapy water (to help light up the film and apply), heat gun to help the film to stick and a sharp blade (to trim the excess).
A squeegee is also needed to help remove the soapy water from under the film.

There's so many images on our facebook page so please feel free to take a look. Search 'protectandenhance' on facebook.

Many thanks for the input,

Ryan

I'll take a look mate, one thing, can you apply the headlight films to taillights?

I have tried with tint film and it doesn't curve, I know you have some for taillights as well but i'd probably go for light smoke, you only list the dark smoke for tails?

Cheers

Hi AL3X,
Yes, the headlight and rear light film is exactly the same :)

Yeah it can be applied to rear lights, simply involves heat and soapy water to form around curves. The heat from a heatgun is what makes the film a lot more flexible making it able to apply around curves.

What film have you tried? Window tint film?

many thanks,
