Hi all. I changed the coolant last week and ever since then I have nothing but overheating, to the point that the red light comes on with the fan.

I changed the themostat today think it might be that. Now the coolant and steam coming out of where the themostat mates to the surface.

I've checked the washer on the themostat and it's OK. I've put just over 3L of coolant in so far.

What have I done or what am I doing wrong? I've run out of ideas. The car's virtually undriveable. Thank you

im going to be in the same boat as you as soon ad my thermostat housing is plugged, but im sure 3l isnt alot, dosnt the saxo have 5.7l full? also could be an airlock, use the bleed valves tru and get the air out.

Thank you for your reply. How many times does the system need to be bled? I've done it everyday for for a week. Is this right?
