Central Locking Fob?

Hey, so ive been looking through the How To's, and there's a guide on how to re program your fob when changing the batteries.

I have a MK2 VTR, and when ive looked at the how to page, the image it shows of my fob says its for a MK1 Saxo?

I have changed the batteries, opened the car doors with the key, then pressed the button twice. Nothing happens?

Could the problem be that it has got the wrong fob for my car?

Or can anyone tell me where the Central Locking unit thing is in the car??

I changed the batteries, locked the car, took the keys out. Opened the car with the keys and pressed the button twice. Nothing happens?

Tried different combinations, like pressing the button twice in quick succession, pressing the button twice for like 5 seconds each time???

Just nothing happening at all?

Help please?
