Hi guys, im looking to buy a standard cd player. this is the description of the item...
This is a standard cd player from a Citroen Saxo,it was removed from the car due to it needing DECODING,IT HAS NO CODE.Therefore it is untested but i see no reason why it wont work.
Do i need a code for it? not sure on how this all works, any advice welcome thanks ben

I assue from that it means the owner has lost the radio code, therefore needs decoding for it to work.

It may be more hassle than its worth, you can get them sent away to get decoded but i'm not sure how much, you could probably pick one up cheap here as most people upgrade.

If you dont have the code then I wouldnt bother mate. Citroen will charge you around £20 for the code (at least thats what they wanted to charge me). Luckily I found it amongst a load of paperwork

its a cd player that plays cds, which in turns produces noise. It does a job, and i dont need no headunit as the baby thatll be travelling in the car wont thank me for for having a 1000watt sub banging behind her eardrums - if I wanted an opinion on whether i want or why i want a standard unit, I would of asked it.
