red bar under car??!!! :S plzplz respond asap

Hey all, erm....just decat'd my car, and the exhaust and pipes etc sit higher than when standard.
At first it made a vibrating sound but i put the heat sheild foam stuff inbetween and now its A OK!
BUT the backbox pipe is resting up against this RED BAR......main question is what is it and then secondly will i damage it or can it cause big problems? :wacko:

PLEASE help asap as i have to go to work for a few hours and its going to be in the back of my mind until i know im safe!

the red bar is the torsion bars.

rubbing wont cause damage but you should avoid ity if possible. No backboxes that are made direct fit will rub on your torsion bars so id have a fiddle with how it sits.

ah right....ok....yer its the piper 3.5" back box, maybe its just the old rubber holder things? Ill have a tweak! Cheers Daryl

dude check the clamp loosen it up and have a fiddle see if you can make it fit lower, normally its just to do with how the clamp is done up
