try 4youngdrivers.com might get a good quote off there, or if you have an older brother or sister that only has a provisional see what quote you get if you add them as a named driver, normally brings it down quite alot.

My insurance has my fiance on it as a named driver she 27 with provisional and brings it down more than a grand

The fact you are 17 and trying to insure a something that is seen as a boy racer car means you are already in the high risk category.

If you live in a high risk postcode then that could account for the price you are getting.

What is your postcode rating? (see the stickes above)

Assuming you have added your parents on as named drivers then all you can do is shop around.
If you cant get an affordable quote anywhere then you may have consider getting a smaller engined car which is less popular with young drivers :(

Get a small engined car ie a 1.0/1.1 saxo build up your no claims discount then get a bigger engined car.
