Agreed mate what a nob really has shocked me didnt think he would leave, hate to say it but i wouldnt be suprised if nasri and fab leave tbh!
Gael Clichy in 2009: 'I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City'
What a cunt

Clichy is way overrated anyway. You will do better by going for Jose Enrique from us. Much prefer him to go to Arsenal than Liverpool tbh.

in someway i agree with the over rated bit, some times hes awesome and sometimes he really does let us down! and jose enrique is a good shout but i do think that Gibbsy will sit nicely at left back
Hopefully united will get Nasri. For me he was the best player for Le arse last season in many a game.
Will enjoy seeing them struggle to get top 4 when him and fabrgas leave ;)

Gibbs struggles to play more than 2 games in a row though!
Rumours are you lot are after Joey Barton from us as well. Exactly the type of player Arsenal need if the can keep him calm.

beat United without Fabregas and only having nasri for 45 minutes.. we dont need fab!

Hate him but would be a decent signing, need a hard hitter tbh.. but saying that wilshire will always jump into tackles fair play!

Some of the speculation the press come up with is complete shite. Funny though. Kevin Doyle to Arsenal, lol!

He is the type of player that wont let his head drop when you are losing or 1-0 up which Arsenal have done too many times over the last few seasons.

100% agreed, everyones heads seem to drop when they concede!
I hope we move for Stuart Downing.
That's twice now a Manc club has stolen our target(s).
First Phil Jones then City with Clichy.
I hope we move for a foreign player aswell, it's all good saying youll buy players and sell players come transfer time but very little has been done.

Clichy to City, Nasri to Utd, Arshavin back to Russia somewhere, Fabregas to Real/Barca
Doyle, Gervinho, and a few 14 year olds in. Worrying times if you're a gooner.
No idea why Wenger won't give Bartley a go. He was shit hot for Gers last season.
JoshB
5th July 2011, 07:10
Yes I'm a gooner
Arsenal players out, Rosicky, Denilson, Clichy, Arshavin, Nasri (if he doesnt want to be here, then do one), Fabregas (getting too morngy these days anyway), and a bunch of the kids that havent made it (Lansbury, Eastmond etc...)
Arsenal players in (fingers crossed) Scott Parker, Christopher Samba, Shay Given and Kevin Doyle.
Samba's mint, always been a fan, chuck Scotty the armband, Shay will be good for another 5 seasons and Kevin Doyle is seriously underrated, he carries Wolves.

+1 think shay should go to arsenal, he's so good can't believe what city have done to his career.
Thing is I doubt they would sell to another rival? they're dicks like that.
I really rate arshavin, think he has been alright for you & he bench warmed quite a lot
Not looking good for gunners at all, they were abysmal last season imo.
They should be bringing in players not letting them go.

Cant believe Arsenal dont do a deal with City to get Adam Johnson as part of the Nasri deal. Great player.
Lol at all the Gooner bashers, we were awful toward the end of last season, didnt have the greatest of seasons, and finished 4th. Only 3 other teams in the premier league finished above us, but of course were just a bunch of kids that are gonna struggle...
You went from being 'genuine' title contenders to drifting off down into 4th! We were being talked about being relegated and where 17th iirc, and yet still get haters!

can't see arsenal wanting johnson, he's too blinkered (bit like walcott) when he has the ball.
as per the last few seasons they need a decent keeper and a commanding centre half, of the 2 i think samba would be a better short term option, if they can get him and cahill all the better.
can't see clichy being missed much, last few seasons hes defending has been pretty iffy, and hopefully they can get rid of some of the dead wood thats sucking up the wages, Rosicky, denilson etc, talk of arshavin going back to russia which wouldnt be too bad if they could get a decent price for him.
likes of barton/parker would give them a bit of attitude in midfield which they've been missing.
city are just digging themselves a big hole , already got wages of £30m a year that they can't get rid, just seem to be bringing in players that arn't improving on the first team.
united could do with a commanding midfielder to control the game, but i think their running out of suitable options so wouldn't be suprised if they don't make a move.
chelsea have the torres/drogba problem, can't see them playing together as boas doesnt play a system with 2 strikers from what i saw at porto last season.
midfield wise think they need to look at replacing obi mikel as hes not good enough for them at the mo, possible replacement for lampard might not be a bad idea if his fitness has started to go due to the injuries, essien should be ok if they can get him thru pre season and back to 100%.
spurs could have problems if modric/bale leave, unless redknapp trusts Kranjcar to take charge of the midfield, and they need a decent striker to be able to work in the formation he wants to set out, then get rid of a few of those he has.
liverpool need a left back, just hope tho don't spend silly money like they did on johnson. along with that hopefully they'll do something about the centre of defence, agger is too injury prone to be relied on and Carragher/Skrtel are just liabilities waiting to happen.
don't quite understand the idea behind signing doni from roma, they seriously think reina is going ?
....went from being 'genuine' title contenders to drifting off down into 4th!
think most of that was down to them not have the sort of players in the team to pull them round, did quite well in difficult games earlier in the season when they pulled results back and got a 1-0 etc, they just seemed to struggle in the latter stages of the season.

aye, looks pretty decent, i think it will depend on how wenger sees his development after the loan spell.
can't remember seeing much of him in their previous carling cup runs ?
even if they keep him at arsenal next season i still reckon wenger will go for samba/cahill, due to Djourou still being a bit injury prone and Koscielny/Squillaci taking time to settle (and if he sees a future for them at the club).

Good shout on Bartley, under rated, awesome defender.
Scott Parker would be a top signing! Not sure who he would partner though, Song will always be in front of the back 4, All depends on how wilshire starts off the season.
We also need a in and out striker that will partner v.Persie that isnt afraid to shoot, we all know what arsenal try and do, walk it in all the time.
I am not worried the slightest bit.. Put it this way, does fabregas want to leave? obviously does, has he played that well this season? No
Arsenal Out : Rosicky, Denilson, Bendtner, Clichy, Fab (maybe?), Nasri (Maybe?) Arshavin (Maybe?)
In : we need a goalie, striker, a big centre back, a hard hitting midfielder and someone who can play on both side of the pitch on the wings

Im sure they have wanted it year after year after year but nothing has ever happened, he is a quality goalie. City have ruined a few careers tbh.. look at robinho, top name now hes nothing, santa cruz was a massive name at one stage now hes nothing, theres a few of them

The only problem I could see is him wanting big wages to match what he is on at City. Sad to see him being wasted at City :y:

Doubt it, hes a player that plays the game cause he loves it, he would be arsenals number 1 week in week out so hes guaranteed football

fair chance city won't let him go to a rival.
robinho is doing the job over in italy and just won seria a with milan, problem at city is he's a luxury player and they didn't play him to his strengths, which you have to do with players like that.
santa cruz got unlucky cos hughes wanted him, he got an injury then hughes was sacked.
end of the day all the numpties at city deserve what they get, cos there in it for the big money rather than to play football, they either want to play at big teams (city aint gonna let em go to rivals), or they ain't willing to take a drop in wages.
saying that it should all changes when the new spending caps come into place, likley they'll have to give players away or pay them off to get them off the books.
Scott Parker would be a top signing! Not sure who he would partner though, Song will always be in front of the back 4, All depends on how wilshire starts off the season.
i would imagine they'd have him in the centre of a mid 3 with ramsey and wilshire either side.

you said he'd be in front of the back 4 so i had him there with a 3 man midfield in front of him then someone supporting rvp up front.
from what i've seen the past few seasons the full backs support the forwards and song drops back to support the central defenders.
as mentioned with your list of players to get rid of/maybe going full backs will be needed for out wide as they will have no real width.

was looking to get alvarez, but inter have stepped in to pick him up by the looks :(.
main problem with the loss of nasri/clichy is down to the fact there contracts were let to get to the stage they did, with one year left you really have to sell if they won't sign a new contract or they go for free on completion of the contract.
