Might sound like quite a noob question, but how does the gear knob come off?

I'm wanting to fit my new leather surround as the current one is all ripped and perhaps an aftermarket knob.

Sit in driver's seat.Put it in reverse, unclip the gaitor pull the gaitor over the knob so it cover's it then just pull. Be carfull not to hit yourself in the face lol as it will just shoot off.

Stick it in 4th get in the back and PULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Some are easy to get off some are hard, But once it's come off then next time you want it off it just pulls off lol

Great, cheers for the tips guys. I Did think it was that as old vtr one used to come off in my hand all the time. This one is on pretty tight and i was just worried about breaking something, I'll go out there tonight and give my knob a good tug though! Lol :)

get on the back seats
twist it 90 degrees
