Hi guys and girls,
Ive been messing around with my angel lights for sometime now and decided to make the blue and adding a switch for turning them on and off when needed... or wen police are around ;)
I first started by taking my angel light unit out the car and opening it up, to get to the halo rings. once at the halo rings i then put in any colour LED i wanted, i used blue. I wired it all the same as the other 1's that were in already and got rid of the old 1's. I used these from halfords for my LED's as there already wired up and just needed to be fitted.
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_18 3743_langId_-1_categoryId_165604
Once i'd fitted the led's i then put all the unit back together and back in the car.
Now for the switch i had a random switch in the garage but im sure any switch will work for this... So i connected all the black wires up like normal to the main power supply then connected the red switch to another bit of wire that ran all the way into my car inside the ass tray this is were i will have the switch. i connected that wire to the switch then had another wire coming out the other end back into the engine and the connected itto the main power supply. Now turn ur lights on and have a look u should only have ur side lights showing at first then flip the switch and boom ur halo lights are on aswell. hope this helped anyone that wanted to do this. Oh and you can connect both side to the same wires aslong as there the right way round. And yes i know my switch is crap lol.

that switch is old school lol. just get a cheep switch from the range stores or b&q or halfords or somewhere, iv got a round one for some neons i have. but the blank switches on the dash just pop one of them out drill a hole slap bang in the middle and slowly open it up until the switch you bought clips in. doesn't look out of place either.
oh and am i thinking you cable tied them wires to radiator hoses? think id move them. may be safe but them hoses get warm and them cables look pretty thin

looks really good mate, wish i had the guts to do this though haha!
i also think dipped headlights look better on the outer ring, like most BMW's.. however thats my full beam and i'd have no idea where to start regarding how to change them around.. i guess its just me being fussy :homme:

If i turn my lights on just my 'Rings' light up, when dipped the rings and inner bulb, and for full beam the middle one

How do you get bulbs above the rings? Mine are just empty holes but with no cables etc for bulbs?

How did you wire them in?

swapping the main beam and dipper beam round could cause lots of problems wen mot comes. the dipped is designed to be.. well 'dipped' so it doesnt dazzel other people the main beam is aimed higher to illuminate more road, but u only tend to use it in the dark on a lonely country lane. so swapping them would mean u can always see were ur going but no one else can, and then wen u really need ur lights theres not much diffrence between them. id just leav em mate.
saxologist, u really need to get some xenon bulbs for ur lights

Ok i have now brought a new switch and moves it looks alot better.
Saxologist: Yes i think you could have a white and blue but you'd have to have 2 leds more in the ring so u would have to cut the hole bigger to fit them all in. This will be a bit tight I think and the wiring would be harder, could be done by 2 switches tho...
Yes blue lights are illegal..
mcjacko1987: yea im going to move the wires from the hose and tidy it up a bit cos wires are all over the place :)
9Freedman9: U sure its a sidelight ur missing? if so how do u pass ur MOT? it might be a hole for LED's above the lights. It may of been taken out before you had them? ... I've taken mine out cos it wont pass the MOT with it. But you could also wire this up to the switch with the halo's.. you'll have to buy some LED's and fit them n some how.
More Pics...New switch and full linked up halo's :)

would be good if you could get some really bright leds for the halos so you can see them during the day like the bmw ones.... the standard halo leds are dim as shit and you can only see them when it dusk

thats because the halo eyes work using the principles of refraction and reflection from rear leds,
the bmw lights are like a single fibre optic illuminated from one end
in short the saxo ones are s**t
saxologist, just have a look on ebay they are h1 bulbs i beleave literaly as straightforward as replacing a blown bulb

It's the small l.e.d bulbs up in the corner that I need, the wiring is there, but i'm not sure what bulb fitment it is and where to buy them from, i'd like the ice white ones also! Thanks.
