main beam problems

recently the main beam seems to not wanna work, started with both headlights now one or other but soon as u tap the the bulbs or around them they come back on....wtf is going on? can;t really find problems with wiring maybe earth? fuses are all fine

must be some kinda bad connection like you said check out the earth wires and maybe corroded/bad connections to the lights themselves?

It's a bad connection. My girlfriends KA has the exact same issue. Turn the engine over, turn the lights on and only one works. Give it a whack and it'll come on. Turn the engine off, then back on, only one of them works again.

Take the bulb out, clean the contacts and make sure there's nothing in the connector. Also check the fillament!

any other ideas on this as its really pissing me off now as start car pop bonnet tap back light on. but not not working now at all. all blinder beams work just not the normal beam on one side? wanna have a crack on tommorrow so wanna know what to look for?
