Whats the situation regarding this...

Saw a car on autotrader paid a deposit over the phone and now i dont want the car

distant selling act?

7 days?

what can i do?

bank sed i can reclaim my payment

Have you spoke to the seller about it yet as he's the one who can make this easy for you not us.
Was it private or trade?
Private you may have some chance, Trade I doubt it.

A Deposit is deemed non refundable in many peoples eyes.

The whole point of the deposit is so that the seller dosnt sell the car to some one else, the seller is in his right not to give you it back but all down to the seller tho

Is it trade or private
If it's private that means nothing unless you have a recepit for your deposit even then it can still be disputed.

from a garage on autotrader so it will show as a garage on bank statement

Hmm go for it mate just talk to them first make some sob story up and see if you can get it back that way.
